Are You Making These Nail Mistakes?

Nowadays pedicure and manicure is hype, getting cute nail designs is hype and nail salons are everywhere. I wouldn't lie and say I don't like the hype either. I've been doing my nails myself for a long time, then I realized that I'd made a lot of mistakes.

So now  I'm gonna tell you all about the different nail mistakes that you might be (you don't know yet) making and specific things you may be doing wrong.

1. Nipping your cuticles

People think that the thick skin around your nails is the cuticle. That thick skin around your nails protects them from infections and that is healthy and vibrant skin.

You don't want to take a nipper and start cutting along just to make your nails look smoother.

suggestion for improvement: you can use something like a cuticle pusher. First, take some cuticle oil and apply it right where your cuticles are and leave it on for about 1 minute. Then take the pusher and push away your cuticles. Not only will this help get rid of cuticles, but it will also give your nails a wider, longer appearance.

2. You don't wash your hands before you start painting your nails

After you've removed your cuticles,  you just grab your polish and start painting.

If you don't wash your hands, residue, dirt and any oil on your nail will cause your nail polish to lift off and look uneven.

suggestion for improvement: wash your hands or take some acetone and put it on a cleaning brush and sort of dip the brush in a little of acetone and just wipe it over your nail.

3. your nail polish doesn't  last because you don't use a base coat

Base coat provides a clear protective layer between the nail and the pigment of the nail polish above. So you want to make sure that the nail polish you put on your nails won't leave stains.

suggestion for improvement: It is essential to apply a base coat before the manicure. let it dry and then start applying the color.

4. You shake your polish just before use

When you shake your nail polish, it creates bubbles inside of your polish and these bubbles transfer to the brush and this brush transfer the bubble to your nail.

suggestion for improvement:: leave it on for at least 20 minutes before you start painting.

5. Applying too much polish

you have too much polish on your brush. It has nowhere to go but onto your skin and create a pool of nail polish.

suggestion for improvement: when you take out your brush, wipe it on one of the walls of the bottle and then use what's on the other side.

It's good to know how to do great nails, but it's even more important that we know the mistakes we've had, so we can avoid them in the future.
